— Some Chicken Soup —
Interviewer:
“Let’s go to the fifty-yard line, here, at Ohio Stadium and catch up with Buckeye Tut-Hut-Nut to get the latest on The Ohio State University Buckeyes’ quarterback situation.”
Q. = Okay, Buckeye Tut-Hut-Nut, what’s the scoop with Braxton Miller?
A. = Tut-hut! The Buckeyes’ football quarterback is hurting…
Q. = As in how much?
A. = Could be serious.
Q. = Isn’t it true that he played most of January’s Bowl Game against Clemson injured?
A. = It was an issue.
Q. = Was he reinjured in practice yesterday? It’s not his throwing arm, but his still ailing right shoulder. Coach Meyer is saying things like “right on schedule” with his surgery recovery. The season begins in two weeks. That’s scary!
A. = Ah, tut-hut, yeah.
Interviewer:
“Don’t panic, Buckeyes backers! There’s a sophomore named Cardale Jones (Cleveland) coming along, and freshman J.T. Barrett from Wichita Falls, Texas, may be capable of taking things on for Ohio State over center.
Problem is, these two backup QB’s don’t have a starting running back ready. Ezekiel Elliott has been nurturing a hand injury and Warren Ball is suffering with a bum foot. That leaves on-again-off-again Rod Smith and lightly raced Bri’onte Dunn to try to replace the huge effort given last year by strong-man Carlos Hyde, a thousand-yard rush type for the last two years.
Are the Buckeyes ready for yet another challenge hung on them as pre-season favs to finish on top of the newly named East Division (formerly Leaders Division)?”
Q. = Who is that, by the way, in the top picture of this Q&A?
A. = Oh. Tut-hut! That’s my partner, Buckeye Tut-Hut-Nut-Mutt.
